What's the Best Energy-efficient Dryer and washer Machine You Need To Get?

Living in this generation gives us the advantage of using appliances that are Energy Star rated. This means, they consume less energy which will lead to lower bills to pay next month. A washer and dryer combo also provides such an advantage.

So which one should we really choose?

Front Load Washer Dryer Combo

This is your best bet when you are looking for efficiency. These are not only energy efficient, they are also efficient when it comes to water consumption. The features are better than the other types of washers out there.

Most of the energy consumed is due to the heating process of water and the heating process of the dryer. Some front loaders have a 6th sense technology. This gives the washer a mind of its own to measure how much heat the water needs. Also, a moisture sensor is integrated in the dryer to find out how much moisture is left in your clothes. In this way, it prevents over drying that not only consumes more energy, but is also harmful to the fabric of your clothes.

Stackable Washer Dryer

The washer at the bottom and the dryer stacked above it: this is what we call the stackable machine. It is a separate washer and dryer still. You can choose from an electric dryer to a gas operated dryer. Some people say it is better to use gas operated dryers as it dries clothes faster than electric ones.

However, it is slightly more inconvenient to use as you still need to transfer your clothes to the dryer instead of just waiting for it to transition into the drying stage which is what front loaders combo offer. It serves its purpose but the features are not as sophisticated as the combo ones.

Top Load Washer And Dryer

Top loaders are not known for energy efficiency. However, if you get the high efficiency ones, you will find that it does not take much time at all to wash your clothes. The centrifugal spinning cycle is more powerful now than before which will then extract more moisture from your clothes. This way, your clothes do not need to stay in the dryer for long.

The combination of efficiency and ease of use of front loaders still make it a winner. However, the other types of washers and dryers are also worth trying. You just have to decide which one is the most ideal for your clothes washing needs.
